How to Get Started With Cepe Paper
Create a free account, open the studio in the browser or on desktop, and finish your first document, sheet, deck, or PDF in one place.
You do not need a long setup to start Cepe Paper. A free Cepe account, a browser or the desktop app, and one file are enough.
This walkthrough takes you from sign-up to a finished export — and shows when to add cloud sync, templates, Cepe AI, and Cepe Sign.
Create a free account
Go to Cepe and create an account. The Free plan includes Cepe Paper editor (web), Desktop app, Local projects, Export to PDF, Basic templates, 500 MB Cepe Cloud storage, 1 user, and Community support.
You can keep working locally without filling that storage. Cloud is there when a file needs to travel.
If you already have an account, sign in and open the member dashboard. That is home for plans, downloads, and files you have synced.
Open the studio
You have two doors. Cepe Paper online opens in the browser from your dashboard — no installer. The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux if you want a dedicated window and local projects on that machine.
They are the same studio: documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and PDF tools. Use the browser to try it in a minute. Install when this is your daily machine. Use both once a project is on Cepe Cloud.
Start a file, not a tour
Skip the empty worry. Open a template if you have a known shape — a proposal, a pitch, an invoice tracker, a QBR. Open a blank document if you already know what you want to say.
Write the first paragraph. That is the whole first session. You can add a sheet or a deck when the work needs numbers or a room. You do not have to set up four apps before you type.
Use the mode the work is in
Documents are for narrative. Spreadsheets are for lists and calculations. Presentations are for the meeting. PDFs are for the file other people can open without installing Cepe Paper.
Stay in one project as the shape changes. Export a PDF when it has to travel. On paid plans, Cepe Sign can send that PDF for review and signatures instead of another email chain.
Save local, then sync if you need to
A local project stays on the device until you upload it. That is fine for a draft that should not leave the laptop.
When you want the same file on another computer, save it to Cepe Cloud. Sign in on the web editor or another desktop install and continue. Version history on paid plans helps you recover an earlier save.
Do not sync because a checklist said so. Sync when the file has to move.
Add power when the file asks for it
You can finish real work on Free. Upgrade from the dashboard when you hit a limit you care about.

CAI drafts, rewrites, and summarizes next to the text you send. Submitted prompts may be processed by third-party providers to generate a response. Use it when the blank page is the blocker — not as a requirement to start.
