This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through Cepe and supplements our Terms of Service. Where this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer laws that apply to you (including the Australian Consumer Law, where applicable), those laws prevail. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies non-excludable statutory consumer guarantees.
1. Cancellation and refunds are separate
Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are different actions. Cancelling stops future renewal (or confirms that a prepaid term will not continue after it ends). Cancelling does not automatically approve or create a refund. Refund requests are assessed under this Refund Policy and applicable law.
Cancelling does not automatically mean immediate loss of access. When you cancel renewal, access normally continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, as shown in your account (for example, the current billing period for monthly or annual plans, or the prepaid entitlement end date for a 3-Year plan), unless a different outcome is required by law or expressly agreed when resolving a refund request.
2. Monthly and annual subscriptions
Monthly and annual paid memberships (Creator, Professional, Business, and similar self-serve plans) renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout unless you cancel before the renewal date.
First-time subscription purchases. If you are a new paying subscriber and are not satisfied, you may request a refund within fourteen (14) days of your initial charge, provided you have not extensively used paid-only features (including substantial CAI usage, Activity Tracker provisioning, team seats, or enterprise provisioning). We review requests in good faith. This voluntary process does not limit remedies you may have under applicable consumer law.
Renewals. Renewal charges are generally not refunded as a matter of policy once a renewal period has begun. Cancel before your next billing date to avoid future charges; you retain access through the end of the current paid period. We do not claim that refunds are unavailable in all circumstances; eligibility is assessed under this policy and applicable law.
3. 3-Year prepaid subscriptions
A 3-Year subscription is prepaid for thirty-six (36) months. The price displayed at purchase is the total amount charged upfront for that prepaid term (one payment covering 36 months of access), not thirty-six monthly charges and not three separate yearly charges.
3-Year prepaid terms do not auto-renew after the prepaid period ends unless you purchase again. Cancelling during the prepaid term does not, by itself, end access immediately: access normally continues until the prepaid entitlement end date shown in your account.
Cancelling a 3-Year prepaid subscription does not automatically generate a refund or a pro-rata cash credit for unused time. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, submit a separate refund request. We assess requests under this Refund Policy and applicable law (including Australian Consumer Law where it applies). Unused prepaid time is not converted into an undocumented credit merely because you cancel.
4. Desktop license keys
One-time or annual license key purchases are generally not refunded after the key has been revealed or activated, except where required by applicable law or where we confirm a duplicate charge or a technical failure on our side.
5. How to cancel
Cancel from your member dashboard billing settings, or contact billing support. Cancellation stops future renewals (and, for prepaid terms, records that the term will end at the entitlement date shown). It does not automatically delete your account or local files, and it does not by itself issue a refund.
6. How to request a refund
Use the refund request option in your member dashboard where available, or email billing support with your account email, order or invoice reference, and reason for the request. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank or payment provider.
7. Chargebacks and abuse
If you dispute a charge with your bank without contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. Fraudulent or abusive refund requests may result in permanent account closure, subject to applicable law.
8. Taxes and currency
Prices may exclude taxes where shown; applicable taxes are added at checkout. Refunds, when approved, are ordinarily issued to the original payment method in the currency charged, subject to payment-processor rules and amounts they are permitted to retain.
9. Affiliate and promotional purchases
Purchases made with affiliate discount codes or promotions are subject to the same refund assessment process. Affiliate commissions may be reversed on refunded or charged-back transactions as described in our Affiliate Terms.
10. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date and apply to purchases after the effective date unless otherwise required by law.
